About Us

Mission & Purpose

The purpose of the USF Dermatology Interest Group is to provide students the opportunity to explore the field of dermatology. There are several goals the organization hopes to achieve:

  • Encourage medical student interest and involvement in dermatology.
  • Provide networking opportunities to foster communication between current physicians, residents, and students.
  • Foster a sense of community and support within the field of dermatology.
  • Develop opportunities for fellow students with similar interests to meet and socialize, as well as share resources and advice.
  • Offer resources in preparation to apply for their residency of interest.
  • Coordinate community outreach opportunities and local schools and community centers, such as through the USF Health Service Corps.
  • Hold educational meetings with expert guest speakers to allow students to gain dermatological clinical knowledge and skills related to dermatological surgery.
